Apricot Orange Pecan Bread
Instead of adding cranberries to our Cranberry Bread Mix, try adding Dried Apriots & Pecans for a great tasting bread.
Serves: 12
1 package Concord Foods Cranberry Bread Mix
½ cup finely chopped dried apricots
½ cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2/3 cup water
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Grease and lightly flour an 8" x 4" loaf pan.
- Add chopped apricots to the dry bread mix and stir until the apricots are separated and evenly distributed. Add water and egg to mix and stir with a spoon until the ingredients are moistened. Fold the nuts into batter. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake at 350ºF for 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool 20 minutes. Loosen edges and remove from pan.
Note:When using a disposable foil loaf pan, grease and flour bottom only. If using a 9" x 5" loaf pan, adjust the baking time to 45 minutes.
