Baked Brie

Serves: 6 to 8

1 (half of a package) frozen puff pastry sheet, thawed
1 (8oz) Brie wheel
2 discs Concord Foods Caramel Apple Wrap
3 tablespoons chopped pecans
1/3 cup finely chopped apple
4 apples (suggested types: Cortland, Empire, Gala, Rome)

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  2. On a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper (hint: use papers that separate Apple Wrap discs), place thawed and unfolded sheet of puff pastry. In center of the parchment paper, place 1 caramel disc (trimmed to diameter of cheese). Cover disc with nuts, followed by chopped apple and remaining trimmed caramel disc. Top with Brie wheel.
  3. Fold edges of pastry sheet up and over the cheese (hint: slightly trimming 2 corners of the pastry will make it less bulky). Lightly moisten edges with water and pinch to seal. Bake, seam side down, for 25 - 30 minutes. Cool for 10 - 15 minutes.
  4. Serve with wedges of apple and crackers.
