Bananas Foster Sundae
This delicious dessert wonderfully combines banana bread, ice cream and caramel. It is sure to be a hit at your next celebration!
Recipe can be doubled, tripled etc., depending on how many servings are desired.
2 slices (1/2") prepared ChiquitaTM Banana Bread
1 small firm banana - halved lengthwise and crosswise (yields 4 pieces)
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon dark rum
Vanilla ice cream
Concord Foods' Creamy Caramel Dip, warm
- Over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar in a small skillet; add rum and banana slices. Saute bananas for 3-5 minutes, spooning butter/rum sauce over the slices as they cook.
- Cover slices of banana bread with the sautéed bananas and remaining sauce.
- Top each slice with a scoop of ice cream. Drizzle warm Caramel Dip over the ice cream.
