Mini Banana Beignets

Make easy and delicious home made doughnuts with Chiquita Banana Bread Mix.

Beignets

Ingredients:

Batter:
1 package ChiquitaTM Banana Bread
¼ cup of water
1-egg
1-over ripe banana, mashed (½ cup)

Cinnamon/Sugar Mix:
1-teaspoon of cinnamon
½ cup of sugar

Directions:

  1. Using an electric skillet, preheat 2 inches of oil to 350°F to 375°F.
  2. Blend ingredients until moistened.
  3. Drop ½ teaspoon of batter into oil (make about 5-6 at a time). Cook for 2 minutes turning beignets until evenly browned on both sides.
  4. Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels, then roll them in the cinnamon/sugar mix while still warm.
