You don’t have to wait for the carnival to come to town to enjoy candy apples. Concord’s Candy Apple Kit makes traditional red, hard candy coated apples for that nostalgic taste. Each box contains Candy Apple Mix and 10 sticks. Add 2-1/2 cups of sugar and follow package directions to make fresh Candy Apples for a family treat, hometown fairs & fundraisers.

Tips for making great candy apples:

• For easy dipping, use a small saucepan when cooking one kit. A 2qt. saucepan is recommended.
• For best results and to keep the candy on the apple, it is important that the syrup reach the hard crack stage.
• To reduce bubbling of the candy coating, stir in ⅛ tsp of solid shortening just before you dip the apples.
• If cooking several kits in a single batch, use two-thirds of the normal water and cook with high heat.
• For easy clean-up, soak utensils in soapy water.
